Anddd there's the receipt from my recent, absolutely healthy eye test (see adjacent post) In fact my very common Dry Eye condition has improved a lot since my last visit.
I live on a very beautiful island, and the stunning scenery and views are just one of the many things my crystal clear, perfect eyesight (with any pair of prescription glasses or lenses) gives me the pleasure of every day. Having a stable, unchanging prescription for over 13 years is pretty rare, actually, and just another indication of how healthy my eyes actually are. In fact my Optician describes my vision as 'excellent' 🌄🌄 .
When is the last time YOU slowed down to identify what it takes for YOU to win everyday? Everyone is looking for the secret to SUCCESS. There is no secret.
YOU have already done and YOU already know what YOU need to do. We all experience ups and downs. Take a looks at period of time when YOU have had SUCCESS. What action or PROCESS drove the SUCCESS? Are YOU willing to repeat that work over and over and over again?
Like I said. There is no secret. Just slow down and identify the PROCESS and ATTACK it one day at a time. "Love the PROCESS and YOU will love what the PROCESS produces." @jongordon11.

The PROCESS will allow YOU to stay connected to the ideal DAILY DISCIPLINES to drive YOUR success.
Stay focused on the things that you can control not the things that you can't control.
The most important thing is the opportunity to look yourself in the mirror at the end of the day and know that you gave your best effort. Nobody can ever take that away from YOU. #ATTACKthePROCESS
Practicing #animalflow with @rigneymiriam this morning.
It's amazing how much of an ass kicker it is. The key is slow controlled movements, which is alien to me 😂.
Pretty much all my training is flat out, high intensity and speed.
It's a huge challenge for my tight shoulders and wrists too which will hopefully improve with practice.
This was the middle of a 3 1/2 minutes flow, which definitely was a workout.
Day 6 of my 30 day challenge. It is truly amazing how much better I feel when I stick to eating clean and exercise daily. I have worked out on and off for more than 15 years and I have never felt better. I attribute that to eating better consistently
Have a great Thursday and improve yourself a little every day!
Today is PTSD awareness day.
At the end of my time in the Police, I struggled with PTSD. I struggled for long enough that the darkness nearly took me from my family and friends. I have learnt and practiced healthy coping strategies and now find myself in a good place most of the time. I know my darkness is always there but I have learnt to acknowledge it and live with it. I am grateful for the meaningful conversations that kept me alive.
For those that are struggling, my message is as clear as the little burning candle in the dark, there is love and support for you. You are enough, you matter and you are important. .
Reach out, there are people who will grab hold of you and not let you go.
If you think, see or know someone is struggling. Ask the question, "Are you OK?", then listen. It can save a life.
It was an mid-week hustle! A 3km run and that all time favourite yin-yang based yoga class. Well, I use to run alot during school days and running team back in the army days but it had been quite a long time since I put on those running sprint/racer shoes.
Alongside @i.m.sebastian@novitalam@itzeugena@victoriacheng@thebarebeauty@dearttolife and the rest of @pocarisg crew, it was a fun, easy yet humid + sweaty run and at times there were some 'shouts' and 'punches in the air' to apparently let loose of tiredness (I don't know how that works but it works for some I guess). And of course, dedicating some ✌️! (You know who you are! Hahaha! 😉)
My highlight came when I had to conduct the yoga session! Well within my realm as I let loose, shake off awkwardness and get to work with liked minded hustlers! So, hello Pocari Team, Fizzy in the haus ya'all!
Stretching out the hip flexors, IT bands, external rotators and of course, the all time favourite... Seated leg raises! Don't we all love them!!! Of course, there were a few crows that flew for God knows how long. Good job right there!
Well deserved savasana, all time favourite meditative sleep song and a shoulder massage to everyone for a job well done! Yay! We did it!
Ended the run and yoga session with Pocari Sweat and ION Water. Refreshing and certainly, replenished those crampness from the runs and leg raises!
🔥 WHAT I LEARNT FROM THIS POWERHOUSE 🔥
Seeing David Goggins live on stage was an experience to say the least... 😬
This man has been through HELL and back (literally) to become one of the most resilient and persistent people walking the planet 💪🏼
The lessons he’s learnt from going through life and experiencing some of the toughest things any man could possibly go through, shows what it takes to have the powerhouse mindset he walks around with every single day 💥
A few things I learnt from Goggins were:
> Don’t stop when you’re tired, stop when you’re done.
> When you’re going through tough times, remember what you’ve been through before that was much worse, and it will push your through...
> Your mind will tell you to stop at 40%, when you’ve still got 60% left in the tank, just keep pushing and get through it 💥
Upper body PUMP!! Everybody loves the pump. Is there a better feeling? We all know how @schwarzenegger described the pump!

After 2 whole weeks of blood pissing out of my nose after my operation and just feeling not myself, today I got back on the grind and blew out those cobwebs once and for all. .
Today also marks the start of a new challenge for me. A challenge that will test me both physically and mentally, but no doubt more mentally. .
Project #75hard is commiting to something everyday for 75 days straight. What's even more challenging is to making that commitment to something that sucks or is a struggle for you already daily. I've always struggled with running in the winter months and just training in general, so what better way than to knock that on the head by running in rain hail ,wind or sun shine (or even all at once) by getting comfortable being uncomfortable. Theres a catch thou... .
If I don't run for 1 day, you gotta start from day 1 all over again. Doesn't matter if you're on day 6 or day 60, rules are rules. .
What I will learn from this I will document along the way but it's really about making that commitment to yourself and sticking to it no matter what. Thankyou @andyfrisella for this fucking awesome idea. I'm all in!
My god today I was lucky enough to meet the man himself @christianguzmanfitness, he was nice enough to take a photo with me and he thanked me for coming an all. What a man(the goat) 🐐
His been killing in the fitness industry for years now an his been a massive inspiration to many people including myself.
Just wanted to say thank you bro for being you, this week of me being down in Houston an being part of summer shredding (no competing) has inspired me to get my shit together and made me realise what it is I wanna do in life. So when I get home look out 😜
Also mind my rough lid I’m not the best looker
Does anyone else stay up at all hours of the night thinking about your purpose? Life is extremely short, I MIGHT have 40-50 years left on Earth. What am I going to do with it??? I know I am not just here to pay taxes and die in a damn hospital bed. I do believe every person has potential and could excel in a specific area if all variables align with full effort. Ulysses S. Grant failed at so many different attempts throughout most of his life. He left the military and failed many more times. Then later in his life still became the world famous successful general of the American Civil War. Afterwards he actually travelled the world as a celebrity. What is a worthy cause you live for? What passions have faded and are new in your life? I am days away from being a father. Will fatherhood bring purpose, of course it will! Is my purpose my family? To keep them completely safe, fed, content and thriving? I see some people from an outside perspective just in a great place, passionate about their work and endeavors. Just seeing one side of the story and remember, "COMPARISON IS A THEIF OF JOY." More now than ever we compare ourselves to social media, our neighbors or our co-workers. I feel I have alot of potential and capability if focus or direction were there. This is what I think about all night. What purpose do I serve and what should i be doing to run on ALL cylinders, instead of just going through the motions. Do you feel this way, or what is going on in your life? #purpose#pursitofhappiness#CARPIEM#success#lifeisshortliveit#noregrets#outdoors#direction#focus#canthurtme#accountability#life
Had a fun yet challenging 4 mile trail run this morning. Mud, downed trees, warm temps, and flooded paths caused me to use a great deal of concentration and maneuvering. Here’s what I realized. I would guess 99% of people would find a way past these very small road blocks. Simple. I would also guess at least 80%? of people stop and turn around when this same small bump in the road (metaphorically speaking) gets in the path of their dreams. Why is that? We want a reason to quit? I know this, I’ve been part of the 80%. I’ve turned around for less. But true success, true growth, comes from never allowing obstacles to stop your forward progress. It may slow it, just don’t stop 👊. #keepmovingforward#canthurtme
Similar to Arya Stark, I'm a #NeverForget kind of gal. :
My brain loops a tickertape of wrongs stretching back to choldhood. It's not healthy. That mental ledger takes up too much brain space. I work daily to let go. To detach.
Righteous indignation is a hell of a drug. :
On this Forgiveness day, forgive or don't forgive. :
Make a plan to DO SOMETHING -- in your own time. Or consider how you will do differently.
Me: I trust way too easily. I assume reciprocity where no such contract is ever articulated
Not everyone has home training. I acknowledged when I've been used, a step lasered, and discarde. No use chasing opportunists who have no conscience and never look back.
To vow not to be duped again is to exercise agency going forward. Progress.
The inaction, the dwelling in hurt, the ironclad tracking of "they know what they did" will sink you if you don't/imho
7 miles on the track yesterday followed by 9 miles of hill repeats this morning at the Bear Creek Trail. I pushed during my fourth mile yesterday & ran a 5:55. Before long I think I will go to the track with intentions of running a mile for time to see where I am.
After having not made any time for running the first two weeks of June I have put in 41 miles during the past week. As my next race gets closer I know I have to continue to ramp it up which will make for some early mornings! My next training race is a 50 miler on August 3rd in FairPlay, Colorado. Can’t wait! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
18 more weeks until my first attempt at 100 miles. #tunnelhill100

I am a rookie Ultra runner training for my first 100 mile race. Follow @fitfamilyhabit to be part of the journey.
Enjoy the struggle not only the reward. If you enjoy the journey as much as the goal - you have found your passion. And you get unstoppable! That is for business as well as for things you are doing in your spare time.

Today I started early ‘cause I had to fly to Hamburg for an investment presentation. Managed to exercise for an hour at the gym, before going to the airport. The investment opportunity looks interesting but I have to dig deeper. It has been a long day - good night.
