A break from my Apple Watch⌚️.
🏝Last week I took a break from my Apple Watch whilst on a mini holiday. More because if I don’t do this I start to get a rash on my wrist 🙈. However the flip side was that I enjoyed the freedom from it.
❤️Don’t get me wrong I love my watch. I love how I can track my workout, it encourages me to move more and I get great joy in closing all my rings.
💪🏻However, I know how inaccurate some of the features such as calories burnt. I am fully aware of this but can’t help to feel a little disappointed when I finish my workout and see the final number. I do know though that this isn’t a good indication of my workout.
💕I have enjoyed not thinking about technology and what I’m doing and what my heart rate is. I’ve really enjoyed tuning in to my body and listening to it rather than what an app says, so I’ve decided not to wear it again when I go to Mexico in a few days time.
🚶🏼♀️This isn’t a permanent change for me. I love being able to track how long I’ve walked, my steps taken and be aware of my resting heart rate, so once I get back I’ll continue to do so. However I intend to take more breaks from it and have to not forget that I know my body better than an app ever will.

This is one of my new favourite core, shoulder and leg movements!
Start off with just the ball roll out, not allowing your chest to rest on the ball. Kneeling to a tallposition on the way back. See how that feels for your core ( especially your lower back). Next perform the roll out and into a full plank. You can hold for 2 seconds or 30. Challenge yourself to see what your body is capable of.
Next progression is rolling out and into a plank as you are moving out. You'll need more stability and core strength for this move.
Last part is knee taps in the front plank position. Level 1 ( tap knees all the way to the floor) Level 2 ( don't allow your knees to touch the floor). 🔹️🔹️Would I give this exercise to my postnatal clients? Yes I would. I would test and see where there core strength, balance and stability is first and progress them accordingly. Rehabing our body post baby doesn't necessarily need to be about going slow or just focusing on our breath. It's about knowing our bodies, our limits, our boundaries and challenging them with the guidance from an educated health care professional and trainer.

This is not just a beverage but my morning partner. I have started to have it, every morning and evening, for almost a year. Though it is bit tuff for me to switch from milk tea to green tea, as I have faced severe headaches, earlier. But as soon as I adopted the habit of having green tea, I found myself on cloud nine because I felt so much lighter than before, my digestive system works so gently and I became more active .
I love to have it with ginger, it makes my body detox. Green tea is a good source of antioxidants which helps body to absorb more oxygen. It is a calories burner and body purifier too.
