I am 3 weeks into my journey with the Post Natal @the.mummy.trainer online program and I am LOVING it! I’ve been doing about 3 workouts per week from home which is great because I just don’t have enough time in my day to go to the gym. What I love about the 6 week post natal program is that it feels like a cross between a Pilates session and some strength training, it’s super slow and gentle, each week the workouts are getting more gym-like and less Pilates-like and I feel it’s been absolutely perfect for this time in my life
It’s been so great for my mental health to hand over the kids to Kyle, find a spot in my house and have 15-18mins to myself to move my body. It’s having a positive flow on effect on my diet and also encouraging me to go for more walks
If you want to try this beautiful, gentle and easeful transition back to exercise I have a discount code TMTCANDICE which gives you 40% off the annual membership or 25% off the monthly membership. It also comes with the resistance band and door anchor 💪🏼

Day 27 of #kicfit June challenge. Selfie of me post workout today! Have now moved my body in some way for 27 days in a row! Whether it’s a full workout, just walking or doing stretching/yoga before bed💪🏻 Today I did 20mins on the treadmill waking working my way up to a sprint to finish off. Then I did boxing🥊 from the @keepitcleaner app (would almost call this HIIT/Cardio). Definitely recommend incorporating this each week! For the last 10 minutes I did high resistance on the cross trainer to finish off🤸🏼♂️nearly at the end of June now! How fast does time go🏃🏼♀️⏰ #kicgirls#kiccommunity#workout#gym#moveyourbody#exercise#fitness#wellbeing#health
Today for me is all about stretching and some CORE work.
Balance is something that I teach my clients and that's also why we offer Yoga and ELDOA along side training.
Often I see people putting all of the effort into training hard, working hard, giving a lot and not creating good habits around effective recovery methods to fill their cup.
This can mean you get sick, tired, stressed and throw in the towel because it all got too much.
Ever felt like that when you started training? Going hard, going well then life bubbled up on you?
You can't keep putting all of the energy out without bringing some in.
Work hard and rest harder. 💜

Has it been a rough week? Are you feeling stressed? Are you battling a headache?
TRY THIS: The Child’s Pose (Balasana) 👉🏼Placing your head (specifically your “third eye” the spot between your eyebrows) down on the mat has an instant calming and soothing effect on the brain. When you feel a headache coming on, try a passive Child’s Pose with your arms resting behind you, palms facing up. These resting poses center, calm, and soothe the brain, making it a therapeutic posture for relieving stress and fatigue. 😌
Child’s Pose helps to stretch the hips, thighs, and ankles. It gently relaxes muscles on the front of the body while softly and passively stretching the muscles of the back torso. Sometimes used as a counter-pose to backbends, Child's Pose also restores balance and equanimity to the body. ✨🧘🏼♀️✨ #Linkinbio for more
Leg day has always been my favorite day. I have a naturally muscular and strong lower body even when I was just starting to get back into the gym. So leg day boosted my confidence, and gave me refuge once or twice a week in a feeling of belonging.
Just that day I was a member of the gym, rather than an awkward overweight girl struggling to figure it out.
But what I know now is that I always belonged, from the first day I stepped foot on the premise I belonged.
The only thing required to “belong” in a gym is the desire to improve ourselves (and of course pay our membership fees).
So tell me what is your favorite body part or group to train? What builds your confidence?

Well, I hadn't gotten in my 30 and it was almost my bedtime...so I decided to clean my kitchen to get in my workout!! It is 78 degrees in my kitchen at almost 11pm, so sweeping and mopping had me working up a sweat! I got my steps in for the day, and my sweat for the day🤣 #moveyourbody#movementmovement#motivatemany15

Some days you don't feel like working out but you do anyways...Why?
Because you know how FREAKING good you'll feel afterwards💪🏽👊🏽🙌🏽
Because you set a goal and you intend on reaching that goal!
Because it's your way of releasing stress from your body!✌🏽
Some days it's hard to get a workout in, but when you don't really feel like it, think about how you will feel after and remind yourself of WHY you exercise!🏃🏽♀️🏋️🏽♂️🏊🏽♂️🚴🏽♀️

Today's outdoor workout saw me back again for some walking and taking on the Stairs of Death. Beating my time and setting a new goal.
This epic north shore view is the reward at the top of one of my all time favorite hills. It’s magnificence never fails to amaze me, but today felt like a little extra magic ✨ Low lying clouds kissed the ridges of the mountains as the crisp air brought a vibrant green radiance to the plants. We got got rained on for a little but thoroughly enjoyed the cool down and walking in wet clothes. There’s something really amazing about saying fuck it, and embracing the elements. Moving through them and with them as a family. Both the kids fell asleep in the double bob stroller (thrift store score) as my mom and I walked about 8 miles. If you know @lauralentzwriter, you know she’s always got something interesting to talk about🤣. We covered a wide array of conversational ground... Greek mythology, synchronicity, god, sex, nature, friends, and more. We discovered and assisted in freeing a goat suck in the fence and stopped to talk to sweet horses. Sometimes life with two kids and three “jobs” can feel very frenetic while we are constantly on the move bouncing from different activities and locations. (I put job in quotes because I love what I do so much it tends to not feel like work.) But today, there was a sweet slowness in the air. I noticed the curvature in the Norfolk pines lining properties and felt every small swoosh of breeze caress my skin and wet body as the earth invited us to be more present. These are the days I live for... when summer feels a little like winter 🌴Stumbled upon some Soul Music I though I would leave here...
“Listen to the Music of the Soul
With the chords of your heart attuned
With strings of your thoughts in unison
With the Divine Musician” - Swami (I ain’t even gunna finish the rest because who can even pronounce these yogi names anyways)
I spent most of my life hiding in plain sight. Because I believed I was flawed beyond repair. That I was separate from others.
These hurtful, suffocating beliefs were part of my life for so long that even when I found healing and perspective, I still lived as if they were true. Those beliefs permeated my every move.
The past few years have been a process of shedding the habits that kept me small. Not gonna lie, challenging your own status quo is reeeeally uncomfortable business.
I’ll readily own the fact that I have moments where I want to crawl back into my shell, because living in the wide-open space of ✨possibility✨ also *kinda* feels a little like leaping off a cliff and not yet knowing if you’re the kind of animal that flies or falls.
But you know what? The more hurdles I overcome, the more I realize that all that’s holding me back is me— and what I choose to believe about myself.
Which sounds nice, and pretty straightforward, but when you try to change, there’s a part of you that STILL BELIEVES all those lies that kept you stuck. It tells you to not even bother trying.
Friend, choose not to listen to that voice. 💛
You have too much light to offer this world to live your life caged in by fear. Break free.
You already hold the key. Want to know how to use it? Challenge those suffocating beliefs! Change how you ACT. Action is where you find out what you’re really made of. (🤭Spoiler alert: my friend, you are made of STARS.✨🤟🏻)

Just over 3 months until I get to marry this hunk. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit consumed with accomplishing my “best body ever” for this special day.
Here’s the challenge: how do we marry our goals but make sure we’re not obsessing over them or missing out on life in the meantime? Here’s what I’m living by as the countdown continues:
• let go of the idea of “perfect” because that’s not going to happen... just focus on “better.” feeling better, performing better, sleeping better, eating better... any small amount of progress is progress!
• love yourself enough to want to let your body live it’s BEST life! Base your goals & self talk in love, not critique.
• I’m weight training 3x/week and shooting for a cardio blast 1-2x/week.
• Eat within a 45 minute window of working out — protein!! —- to maximize your results and feed the workout. You’re not working that hard to not feel that muscle development.
• 70% of the results are found in food choices. Mostly lean protein, fruits, veggies, and complex carbs when I’m in a slump. Keeping it simple... this is so easy in summer because the ingredients are so fresh and delicious, they don’t need much added to make them taste amazing.
Okay — what are some of your tips to optimize your body? Your girl with take anything she can get! 🤗 #sayjessplease
